Morris County Commissioners Select Stephen Shaw to Serve as 2026 Director and John Krickus to Serve as Deputy Director

Morris County Republican Chairwoman Laura Marie Ali praised the Board of Commissioners after their December 9th caucus for its selection of Stephen Shaw of Mountain Lakes to serve as Director and John Krickus of Washington Township as Deputy Director for 2026.
Ali commented, “Morris County retained all seats on the County Commissioner board in the past election, a recognition that Republican leadership has been integral in making Morris the best run county and best place to live in New Jersey, with the number one county college and vocational school district, largest park system as well as one of the safest counties in the state, all accomplished with the second lowest county portion of property taxes.”
Commissioner Shaw own a small family contracting business , holds a BS in Civil Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and was elected to the Mountain Lakes Borough council for 12 years and selected by his peers as mayor for three of those years.
Shaw resides with his wife Cindy in Mountain Lakes and has two adult children and three grandchildren
Commissioner Krickus is a Marine Corps veteran, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-retired) and worked in data analytics for Dun and Bradstreet and Experian.
Previously, he served on the Washington Township Committee for twelve years, including three years as Mayor. Born and raised in Madison, he now lives in Long Valley with his wife Carolyn where they raised their two daughters.
