IN-PERSON EARLY VOTING - October 26th - November 3rd
New Jersey has nine days of early, in-person voting at a select number of locations in each County. Early voting is a safe and secure process. We encourage you to take advantage of early voting. Don’t take a chance of something coming up on Election Day, get your vote in the bank early!
Unlike Election Day voting, you do not have one assigned voting location for early, in-person voting. Rather, you can vote at any of the early voting locations in the County in which you are registered to vote.

VOTE BY MAIL
I received my ballot. Now what? – You have three options to return your ballot. You can mail your ballot, drop it off at one of your county’s secure drop box locations, or hand deliver it back to your Board of Elections Office.

When is the latest I can return my ballot by? – Your ballot will count so long as it is postmarked by Election Day (November 2nd) or hand-returned to your County Board of Elections by close of polls (8PM) on Election Day. CLICK HERE to find your Board of Elections.
I didn’t receive a ballot but I need one. How do I vote by mail? – It is a two step process. If you have not already received a ballot but would like one- read below.

1 – You must apply to receive a ballot by filling out the following form- CLICK HERE. At this time, it is too late to mail the application back and have it be received in time. But you CAN hand deliver the application and receive a ballot by bringing it to your County Clerk of Elections office. CLICK HERE to find a full listing.

Once you receive your ballot, refer to “I received my ballot. Now what?” bullet point above for further instructions.
If I received my vote by mail ballot, can I still vote in person? – No. If you cast your vote by mail ballot, then no. However, if you lost your vote by mail ballot or choose not to utilize it, you can however cast a provisional ballot at your polling place on Election Day. However, your vote will not be counted on Election Day- it will be set aside and counted later if it is determined that you did not previously return your vote by mail ballot.

Do I need a photo ID? – No, but sign in to the electronic poll book, your signature has to match the one on record made when you first registered to vote.
